Tracy’s Fund in Honor of Sasha
On July 14, 2017, I had to make the most difficult choice I’ve ever had to make. Sasha developed a cancerous tumor only days earlier that had taken most of the use of her left hind leg and lower spine. It got to the point where the medicines I was giving her weren’t enough to keep the pain away. I made the only decision that I could to end the pain she was experiencing more and more severely every day.
This is Sasha. She was my best friend for fourteen years.
The doctor that I spoke to said that every scan, test, and treatment they could do would only extend her life by a small amount. She said that Sasha wouldn’t make it to the end of the year. The total she estimated was $12,000. I started a GoFundMe page in a futile attempt to raise that much money, but at that point, she was in too much pain.
I want to raise the money that I intended to raise for Sasha’s treatment to honor her. Money shouldn’t be a barrier to whether a loved one lives or dies. It’s for that reason, I’m donating all proceeds to The Riedel & Cody Fund–a charity that provides financial support to those whose pets are diagnosed with cancer.
Please help me reach this goal – for Sasha.
Please give any amount that you are able to give so that we can help prevent other dogs from having to go through what Sasha went through. Help break the monetary barrier between a cancer and a healthy dog! Thanks!
